Discussions towards an investment mission by the Polish Chamber of Commerce to the Kingdom of Eswatini were initiated by the Brussels Mission at the beginning of this year, 2019. Serving as coordinator, the Embassy roped in the Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA);the implementing agency tasked with investment promotion in Eswatini. Discussions resulted in an invitation to attend the business seminar that the Polish Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce & Industry hosted in South Africa.
The delegation of the Kingdom of Eswatini comprising Brussels Mission and EIPA officials attended as Observers; in preparation for a similar mission of the Polish delegation to the Kingdom of Eswatini, slated for the first quarter of the year 2020.
A draft road map towards the mission to Eswatini in 2020, was agreed by all the parties at a meeting held at the Embassy of Poland to Eswatini (resident in Pretoria, SA). Discussions on the modalities are underway.
